Linbrook Lake

Key Information
Linbrook Lake offers anglers a unique fishing experience in the heart of Hampshire's Avon Valley. Situated on the outskirts of the New Forest National Park in Ringwood, this mature 6-acre gravel pit has transformed into a vibrant carp fishery since its opening to the public on 29th July 2016.
Features
The lake is thoughtfully designed with a variety of fishing spots to suit different preferences. You'll find gravel patches and reeds creating natural hiding spots, a small island adding an extra layer of interest, and Lilly's for those who enjoy a bit of shade. Additionally, numerous carpy overhangs provide ample opportunities to cast your line and explore different fishing angles.
Fish
Linbrook Lake is home to approximately 300 carp, meticulously stocked from some of the best fish farms in the country. The carp boast high English pedigree, featuring fully scaled mirrors, big plated mirrors, zip linears, leathers, and big shouldered commons. Anglers have successfully caught original fish ranging from 17lb to 27lb, with sightings of even larger specimens up to 38lb. The growth rate of the fish has been impressive, with many adding 4-6lb annually and the top fish gaining over 7lb in a single summer.
Access
Day ticket access makes visiting Linbrook Lake straightforward for anyone looking to enjoy a day of fishing. Whether you're an experienced angler or trying your hand for the first time, the diverse features of the lake provide plenty of options to make the most of your fishing outing.
