Each year, members compete for the Joe Marshall Memorial Shield, awarded to the best specimen fish caught from the pond.

Fishing Techniques

Carp anglers commonly use bottom tactics, with the Chod Rig being a popular choice for its excellent presentation in deep silt. Groundbait sticks or pellet bags are also effective alternatives. Bream are easily caught using either the feeder or the waggler, offering lively action on the pole. During winter, pike fishing remains productive, with plenty of jacks and occasional larger fish attracted to suspended dead baits.
