Anton Lakes provides a range of facilities to make your fishing experience comfortable. There’s a café open all year where you can enjoy a hot drink or a snack. Convenient toilet facilities are also available on-site. For those arriving by car, there is parking for up to 20 vehicles right next to the lake. Additionally, many pegs are equipped with wooden platforms, making it easier for disabled anglers to cast their lines.
The lakes are home to a variety of fish species. You can expect to find mirror and common carp, as well as pike and perch that reach up to 2lb. Roach also grow to about 2lb, providing a good opportunity for anglers. While bream and tench numbers are smaller due to a toxic algae bloom in 2005, they are still present. Eels add an extra challenge for those looking to diversify their catch.
Club memberships are offered by the Andover Angling Club, granting access to Anton Lakes. Members receive exchange tickets at no cost, which can be used for up to 48 hours per visit. Each member is allowed one ticket at a time, ensuring fair access for everyone. Tickets can be obtained from the Secretary or Membership department, making it easy to plan your fishing outings.
