Stonegate Lake, located in Greater Manchester, spans three acres and offers anglers a tranquil spot to enjoy fishing. The reservoir is home to both Perch and Trout, providing a straightforward fishing experience for enthusiasts.

Access and Location

To reach Stonegate Lake, follow Clough Road and park outside the stone gate. From there, walk between the gate posts, keep left across the front of houses through the stile or gate, and follow the path alongside the right bank of the stream for about half a mile across rough ground to the reservoir.

Membership and Regulations

Stonegate Lake is a members-only water open all year, with fishing prohibited during darkness. Club memberships are offered for those interested in accessing this fishing spot. Remember, any fishing method is allowed except live baiting.
