Moss Farm Fisheries, nestled in the heart of Irlam, Greater Manchester, has been welcoming anglers for three years. Known for its day ticket fishing, the fishery is steadily building a commendable reputation among local fishing enthusiasts.
Lakes and Development
Currently, there are two lakes open for visitors. Last year, both lakes were restocked with over 3,000 small carp and 1,000 Barbel, enhancing the already robust populations of silvers and tench. Looking ahead, Moss Farm Fisheries plans to expand with four additional lakes over the next twelve months. The upcoming Specimen Lake, spanning 4.5 acres, will feature nearly 200 carp ranging from 8lb to 27lb and is expected to open by April 2013.
Fish Species
Anglers at Moss Farm Fisheries can target a variety of species. The restocked Barbel and substantial carp, some weighing up to 27lb, offer exciting opportunities for a rewarding catch. Additionally, tench are available, adding diversity to the fishing experience.
