Wharf Pool Pads Lake

History

Wharf Pool Pads Lake has been a favourite spot for anglers since its inception as Stanford Fishery in spring 2006. Over time, the seven-acre lake has developed into a notable mixed fishery in Essex, thanks to dedicated efforts in maintaining its waters.

Fish Species

Anglers at the lake can find prime carp and tench, offering plenty of opportunities for a satisfying catch. The fish populations are managed sustainably, ensuring a balanced and healthy environment for both species.

Access

The fishery offers day ticket access, making it easy for visitors to enjoy a day by the water. Currently, the lake is closed as new owners undertake necessary maintenance, but it is set to reopen with improved facilities once the work is completed.
