Location and Access

Prestons Lake lies approximately 12 miles from Colchester, nestled between White Colne and Pebmarsh in Essex. This 19-acre, stream-fed lake offers a secluded spot for anglers seeking a peaceful fishing experience. With comfortable fishing from flat banks, Prestons Lake is accessible to everyone, including disabled anglers.

Fish Species

The lake boasts impressive stocks of Carp and Pike, each reaching up to 30lb. Additionally, anglers can find big Tench, Bream, Roach, and Perch. While Carp enthusiasts might occasionally catch silver fish like Bream or Perch, the abundance of these species ensures a varied fishing outing. Notably, Prestons Lake includes a batch of Mark Symonds bred Carp, anticipated to grow beyond 20lb swiftly.

Facilities

Visitors will appreciate the two toilets located in the car park, maintained year-round for convenience. Ample parking is available, making it easy to access the fishing spots. Club memberships are offered, providing anglers with additional benefits and opportunities. The top end of the lake is a designated Nature Reserve, strictly off-limits to all members to preserve the area's natural beauty and wildlife.
