Overview of the Lakes

Coleman's Cottage Fishery in Essex boasts a variety of lakes, each offering unique angling opportunities. Lake Copse features 19 fixed pegs spaced 14 metres apart and two islands, with depths ranging from 2ft to 4ft. Lake Pathfield is equipped with 36 permanent pegs around the same spacing and centers on a long island with several smaller ones, reaching depths of up to 4ft 6in. Lake Wood is dotted with numerous islets and maintains a depth of around 5ft, occasionally plunging to 6ft. Blackwater Cottage Lake & River, an older water body, is complemented by the River Blackwater, which winds through the woods. Lastly, Lake Stepfield is divided into two sections with pegs extending 17 metres to the centre, offering depths of 2ft to 6ft.
