Fishing at Snag Pool

Snag Pool stands out as the largest of Boreham Pits' three lakes, covering 7 acres. With depths averaging around 6ft and reaching up to 8ft in certain areas, it offers various fishing spots. The pool features two islands, lily pads, overhanging trees, and several bays, providing anglers with numerous options to cast their lines.

Fish Species

Anglers can look forward to catching a range of species at Snag Pool. The lake is home to impressive carp, with some specimens reaching up to 33lb. On average, carp weigh around 15lb, forming a substantial stamp within the pond. Besides carp, fishermen may encounter pike weighing up to 15lb, as well as roach, rudd, bream, and tench.
