Access and Membership
Saunders Gravel Pit welcomes anglers with both club memberships and day tickets. Members of the Clive Vale Angling Club enjoy year-round access, allowing them to fish across eight rivers and four lakes managed by the club. If you're just visiting, you can purchase a day ticket from local tackle stores. Please note that only 30 anglers are permitted each day, ensuring a pleasant experience for everyone. For younger anglers, juniors must be accompanied by an adult member.
Fish Species
The pit is home to a variety of fish species. Anglers can expect to catch bream, carp reaching up to 15 lb, tench up to 4 lb, and pike that can grow as large as 25 lb. Other species include chub, roach, rudd, perch up to 2 lb, eels, and trout up to 5 lb. This diversity caters to different fishing preferences and skill levels.
