Buckshole Reservoir is home to a diverse range of fish, making it a favourite spot for anglers. The carp here are particularly noteworthy, with several boasting weights over 20 lb and some nearing the impressive 30 lb mark. Since 2000, 67 different carp have been stocked, sourced initially from Marc Simmonds and later from VS Fisheries, including some striking scaley mirrors. In addition to carp, anglers can find Pike, Rudd, Roach, Eels, Perch, and Bream, each weighing over 6 lb.
For those looking to spend more time at Buckshole Reservoir, club memberships are available. Members enjoy the convenience of night fishing without the need to purchase tickets each time; a £95 membership from AR Tackle covers all waterways and includes night fishing. Non-members can still enjoy the reservoir by purchasing day tickets from the bailiff. Night tickets are also available for £2 at Wobbly Rabbit in Bexhill on Sea and AR Tackle in Hastings, offering a great opportunity to fish after dark.
The reservoir is equipped with disabled-friendly access, featuring a swim area at the St Helens Road entrance. Plans are in place to add four more swims by the end of 2015, enhancing accessibility and comfort for all visitors.
