Motorway Ponds is well-regarded for its substantial carp, with some reaching up to 42lb 8oz. Most carp here weigh over 20lb, and around a dozen exceed 30lb. In addition to carp, anglers can pursue bream up to 12lb, as well as chub, perch, pike, roach, rudd, and tench. The pond's varied underwater structures provide a favorable environment for a range of fishing techniques.

Notable Catches

In 1999, Motorway Ponds set the Yorkshire carp record with a 42lb 8oz specimen. To support future growth, the Association introduced 20 young carp between 5-7lb in 2010, continuing efforts to enhance the pond's fish population. The water has also produced pike over 30lb and large roach exceeding 60lb, making it a sought-after location for those aiming for impressive catches.
