Primarily a tench water, it also hosts roach, rudd, pike, and carp. During the summer months, the pond becomes notably weedy, adding a unique challenge for anglers.
Fishing Details
Early mornings and evenings are ideal times for fishing at Burshill Pond B, with many catches exceeding 5lb. A notable specimen of 8lb 2oz has been reported in the past, and attaining a tench over 6lb is considered a significant achievement. Since 2008, the pond has been part of a stocking programme, introducing a variety of tench and carp to enhance the fishing experience.
Facilities
The fishery has recently undergone significant improvements, including the renewal of all swims and the addition of an extra swim. A new footpath provides easy access around the venue, complemented by better road access and enhanced car parking. Facilities at Burshill Pond B include disabled access, toilets, and ample parking, ensuring a comfortable visit for all anglers. Additionally, the Association’s Brandesburton Ponds are safeguarded with otter fences, maintaining a safe environment for both wildlife and fish.
