Fishing Opportunities

At Trenchford, anglers can cast for pike, with the record catch weighing in at 27lb 4oz back in 2005. For trout enthusiasts, Kennick provides premier rainbow trout fishing from the banks or boats. Trenchford permits are available from the self-service kiosk at Kennick, while permits for Kennick are available at the permit hut. Access to Kennick is restricted to anglers only due to the narrow banks and specific casting areas.

Amenities

Visitors can make the most of the picnic and BBQ areas scattered around both Trenchford and Tottiford. Early summer brings a burst of colour with blooming rhododendrons, creating lovely spots for a meal by the water. Boat fishing and hire services are also on offer, complemented by the availability of day tickets for a hassle-free visit.
