Access and Parking

Access to the River Derwent is conveniently located off Haslam's Lane, clearly signposted as "Derwent Valley Fishery". A dedicated car park is available on-site, owned by Earl of Harrington AC. This car park is reserved for Warrington anglers members, providing easy entry to the fishing areas.

Fishing Opportunities

The River Derwent offers approximately one mile of quality fishing just north of Derby. Anglers can expect to find species such as grayling, chub, barbel, carp, and tench. The river is particularly renowned for its excellent winter fishing for grayling. With around 25 allocated pegs, the stretch has been utilised for match lengths, making it a favourite spot for competitive fishing.

Club Memberships

Club memberships are offered, allowing members to access the car park and fish on the adjacent lakes owned by Earl of Harrington AC. It's important to note that the river also hosts a canoe club at the lower end, so anglers should be mindful of other river users to ensure a respectful and enjoyable fishing experience.
