River Cocker

Key Information
Crummock Water
Crummock Water stretches over two and a half miles long and just over half a mile wide, making it the largest of the three interconnected lakes that form the River Cocker's catchment in Cumbria.
Fishing from Boats
For those who enjoy lochstyle fishing, hiring a boat with oars is an option. However, be prepared for a fair bit of rowing, especially on breezy days when the fishing prospects are better. You can also bring your own unpowered boat, though it's important to note that there are no launching facilities available, as advised by the National Trust.
Fly Fishing Spots
Fly anglers will find plenty of accessible banks to cast their lines. Just a word of caution: it's best to avoid the southern end near the inflow from Buttermere, unless you don't mind navigating through waist-deep swamps.
