Poaka Beck Reservoir

Key Information
About Poaka Beck Reservoir
Poaka Beck Reservoir, spanning seventeen acres, is the smallest of Barrow Angling Club’s three fisheries in Cumbria. Despite its size, it offers a respectable water body for anglers seeking a peaceful fishing experience.
Fishing Opportunities
The reservoir is primarily stocked with rainbow trout, averaging around a pound and a quarter, with occasional larger specimens reaching up to 1 lb 4 oz. Due to its nature as a water supply reservoir, Poaka Beck experiences greater fluctuations in water levels compared to other fisheries in the area. This can result in fewer insects, making lure fishing particularly effective early and late in the season. On certain days, anglers may enjoy some rewarding surface action.
Club Memberships
Fishing at Poaka Beck Reservoir is available exclusively to members and their guests. Club memberships are offered, providing access to this scenic spot.
