Burlington Pond

Overview

Burlington Pond is one of the two fisheries managed by the game section of the Furness Fishing Association in Roanhead, Cumbria. Spanning 20 acres, it serves as the flooded remains of Dalton’s iron ore mining industry from the 1800s. Together with the 10-acre Nigel Lake, these ponds offer a distinct fishing experience, differing from typical Cumbrian trout waters and providing sport close to the population centres of the Furness Peninsula.
