Balderhead Reservoir welcomes anglers from the 22nd of March to the 30th of September each year. During these months, you can enjoy fly-fishing exclusively from the bank, offering a traditional and engaging experience. The reservoir is home to native stocks of wild brown trout, providing plenty of opportunities for a rewarding day out by the water.
Access and Tickets
To access Balderhead Reservoir, tickets are available from the machine located at the north end of the Hury dam, approximately a mile away from the fishing spots. A day's pass costs £7, with a concession rate of £6 for eligible anglers. Each ticket allows you to catch up to 12 fish, making it easy to manage your fishing activities for the day.
