Gwinear Angling's Specimen and Match Pleasure Lake

Key Information
Specimen Lake
Gwinear Angling's Specimen Lake, established in 1988, has become a well-regarded fishing spot in Cornwall. Home to over 70 carp, including nine impressive specimens weighing over 30lb, anglers here can enjoy a rewarding fishing experience. The lake features varying depths, reeds, water lilies, and two central islands, providing a scenic backdrop for your fishing trip. To maintain a pleasant environment, only six anglers are allowed on the specimen lake at any one time. To book your session, give us a call on 01637210045.
Match and Pleasure Lake
In 2015, the Match and Pleasure Lake was redesigned to enhance accessibility and fishing opportunities. This lake is stocked with a variety of coarse fish, including Bream, Tench, Perch, Rudd, and Roach, alongside carp up to 16lb. The addition of new large pegs and a surrounding path makes it easier for anglers of all levels to enjoy their time by the water. A new bridge connects to the central island, adding to the lake's charm and fishing appeal.
