Getting Here

Parking is available on Lyme Road, just over the canal bridge where you can leave a few cars. To access Wide Hole, enter through the gate on the right, located just over the cattle grid. The fishery is situated on the off-side of the Macclesfield Canal at Poynton.

Fish Species

Wide Hole offers good fishing for bream, roach, and pike, especially during the winter months. Bream and roach are commonly found here, with pike being a popular catch as well.

Fishing Techniques
