Fishing at Mill Pool

Anglers at Mill Pool can enjoy excellent fishing for bream, roach, and crucian carp. The pool boasts a significant head of tench, averaging between 3 and 4 pounds, and the renowned Cicely Common carp, which weighs around 32 pounds. Fishing is most productive early in the morning or late in the evening. While pole or tip fishing using sweetcorn or meat yields good results, waggler fishing can be a bit tricky due to the shallow waters. Dedicated fishing platforms are the only areas designated for fishing activities.

To enjoy a day at Mill Pool, anglers need to secure a club membership, which provides access to the fishing platforms. Parking is available at the official car park, making it convenient for members to visit. It's important to note that members are not permitted to fish in the conservation area, preserving the natural habitat for local wildlife.
