Area and Depth

Budworth Mere covers an expansive 80 acres, offering plenty of space for anglers. The water here is relatively shallow, with depths reaching up to 5 feet. You’ll notice the water shelves gradually before it levels out, creating different spots to try your luck.

Fish

The mere is home to good shoals of coarse fish, including bream and roach. There are also a few carp wandering around, adding variety to your fishing experience. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or just starting out, you’ll find plenty to keep you engaged.

Notable Catches

On days when the conditions are just right, anglers have reported catching impressive bream. Some have landed big bags of bream, with specimens reaching up to and over the magic 100lbs when using a feeder. It’s always exciting to see what the day will bring!
