Specimen Carp Lake

The Specimen Carp Lake is reserved for pleasure fishing, offering anglers the chance to target carp weighing up to 28lb and roach up to 3lb. With 36 well-spaced swims, visitors can choose between hard standing or grass positions to suit their preferences. The lake reaches a depth of 14 feet in the middle, providing a stable environment for a peaceful fishing experience. Please note that pole fishing is not permitted on this pool, and children under 16 are not allowed.

Match Lake

Match Lake is a popular spot for both rods and poles, stocked with a variety of carp including common, mirror, and leather specimens up to 18lb, alongside roach up to 3lb. The lake features 30 swims with steep slopes, creating depths of up to 16 feet and a small island adorned with conifers and birch trees that attract plenty of fish. During weekends, portions of Match Lake may be used for competitions, which could affect available fishing areas.

Brookside Carp Fishery provides useful amenities to enhance your visit. Toilets are conveniently located within the tackle shop, where anglers can also hire mats and nets or purchase quality carp pellets and other baits. The fishery encourages all visitors to use the provided facilities responsibly to maintain a clean environment.
