History

The Southlake Angling Society has been a part of Berkshire since April 1969. Starting with the 18-acre former estate lake of Southlake in Woodley, the club has grown significantly over the years. In 1976, the Society expanded by taking over an 8-acre gravel pit in Hurst, which became known as Redlands after its purchase in 1999.

Venues

Redlands is one of three venues managed by the Society, each offering something different for anglers. Whether you're after a particular type of catch or just enjoying a day by the water, there's a spot for you. In 2010, the club secured exclusive fishing rights to a section of the River Loddon at Riverside Park in Earley, adding another excellent location for members to explore.

Membership

Club memberships are offered, providing access to all of the Society’s venues. Being a member means joining a community that values quality fishing experiences and maintains some of Berkshire’s cherished fishing spots. It’s a great way to connect with fellow anglers and make the most of what Redlands and the other venues have to offer.
