Tiddenfoot Lake rests on the outskirts of Leighton Buzzard, becoming a part of Tiddenfoot Park in Bedfordshire. Managed by South Bedfordshire District Council, this lake originated from a flooded sand and gravel quarry. Its depths vary significantly, from just a few feet in some areas to as deep as 20 feet, creating varied environments for anglers to explore.
Fish Stock and Varieties
The lake boasts a diverse range of fish species, making it a popular spot for fishing enthusiasts. Catfish here can grow impressively large, with some reaching up to 68lb, and anglers often catch multiple in a single session. Carp are also well represented, with some specimens surpassing 40lb. Recently introduced Simmonds mirror carp are thriving, with a few already nearing 20lb and expected to grow even larger. Tench up to 9lb 6oz and bream reaching 9lb add to the variety, alongside rudd and crucian carp.

One of the unique aspects of Tiddenfoot Lake is the presence of sizeable eels, with some over 5lb already caught and even larger ones sighted.
