Priory Lake spans 60 acres, offering anglers access to the southern and eastern sides. Fishing is conducted from marked swims, providing a structured experience. The lake's connection to the river via a pipe into the marina allows fish to move freely between the two, potentially increasing the variety of catches.

Seasonal Information

From November to March, the central section of Priory Lake is closed to protect over-wintering wildfowl. Additionally, keep nets are banned from March to November due to shallow waters near the banks. These measures help maintain a healthy balance for both fish and wildlife.

Facilities

A hard-standing path surrounds the lake, making it easy for visitors to walk or wheel their fishing kits to their swims without dealing with muddy areas. This path not only caters to anglers but also attracts many walkers, creating a versatile and enjoyable environment for all.
