Carp fishing is a standout activity at Dovecote Lake. In the 1998/99 season, 700 carp reaching upper doubles were introduced, complementing the existing population that ranges from low doubles to upper 30s. Anglers have the opportunity to catch carp weighing up to 37 lb 8 oz, providing the chance to land some impressive specimens.
